(it) stands to reason

Sự thật hiển nhiên / chuyện hiển nhiên.
Quá rõ ràng, không còn nghi ngờ, chối cãi được

It stands to reason that the manner in which your parents raised you would also have a corresponding effect on your decision-making abilities as an adult.
Meaning: You can say it stands to reason that something should be so if it seems reasonable to you that it should be so.

For example:
  1. If you eat good food and get plenty of exercise it stands to reason that you'll have a good chance of living to a ripe old age.
  2. It stands to reason that kids who study the hardest get the best grades.
  3. It stands to reason that the more experience you have, the better you'll be at solving problems.

It stands to reason that the best way to learn to speak a foreign language is to
  1. read about it
  2. think about it
  3. practise using it
